Privacy Policy

In short: RubiPon collects no personal information and no browsing data whatsoever. All furigana analysis happens entirely on your device — the content of the pages you view, their URLs, and your settings are never sent to any external server. There are no analytics, no ads, and no purchases.
This privacy policy explains how information is handled by the RubiPon browser extension (Safari and Chrome editions; "the Extension").
■Information we collect
The Extension does not collect or transmit any information — no personal information, no browsing history, and no usage data. Neither the developer nor any third party receives any data about you.
■Access to page content
To display furigana, the Extension reads the text of the web page you are viewing. This reading and its analysis (morphological analysis) are performed entirely on your device, using dictionaries and code bundled with the Extension.
- Page content, URLs, and anything you type never leave your device
- Analysis results (the furigana) are used only to render the page and are not stored
- The Extension does not communicate with any server on the internet
■Data stored on your device
The Extension's settings are stored only on your device, in the storage areas the browser and operating system provide for extensions.

None of this data is ever transmitted anywhere. Deleting the Extension (on Safari, the app) also deletes this data.
■Analytics, ads, and third parties
The Extension contains no analytics tools, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking technology. Since no data is collected in the first place, nothing is shared with or sold to third parties.
■Children
The Extension is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children, by collecting no data at all. We do not collect information from any user, regardless of age.
■About this website
This site (the RubiPon introduction pages and this page) is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads its display font from Google Fonts. These services may process the IP address of visitors for content delivery, according to their own policies. The site itself contains no analytics, no ads, and sets no cookies.
■Changes to this policy
Any changes to this policy will be announced on this page. We have no plans to add any feature that collects data.
